Privacy policy

Clear privacy wording for the website and the product.

This page explains how AiyoTea handles personal data in connection with the Anonemo website, enquiry routes, and the local-only offline desktop app.

Last updated

This is a working public privacy policy for pre-launch website and supplier use. It should be kept aligned with the app, the supplier privacy summary, and the support / complaints procedure.

Who we are

AiyoTea is the team behind Anonemo

AiyoTea is an independent education technology supplier built by an educator and tech enthusiast with decades of experience across schools and edtech. Anonemo is being developed and supplied by AiyoTea.

The app itself is designed not to send school images or routine usage data to AiyoTea during normal use. Personal data AiyoTea handles directly is limited to the website, contact, support, billing, and related business routes. For privacy questions, contact info@aiyotea.com.

Scope

This policy covers three main areas

The public website

Pages explaining the product, launch position, pricing direction, and school-facing guidance.

Contact and enquiry routes

Forms, direct email, support or complaint messages, and follow-up conversations with schools or trusts.

The desktop product

The local-only Anonemo app used to review, process, and export school images on a controlled device.

Website data

What the website may collect

If you just browse the site

Basic technical request data may be processed by the hosting and delivery stack in the normal course of serving web pages, such as IP address, browser, device, and request logs.

If you use a contact or pricing form

The current website form flow sends your submitted details to Zoho Desk, which is being used as the enquiry and support form processor. The form is designed to collect only basic contact details and your message.

Which hosting and routing services are in use?

AiyoTea currently uses Cloudflare as the authoritative DNS provider for aiyotea.com, Cloudflare Pages for product-related sites on *.aiyotea.com, and Cloudflare Email Routing to forward role-based email addresses into Zoho Desk.

If you email directly

We will receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, school or trust, and the substance of your enquiry.

Enquiry data

The kinds of business contact data we may process

  • Names and job titles
  • Work email addresses and contact details
  • School, trust, or organisation names
  • Enquiry, support, pricing, or complaint messages
  • Meeting notes and follow-up history
  • Quote, purchase-order, invoice, and payment-related business records where relevant

How we use it

Why this information is processed

Responding to enquiries

To answer questions, arrange follow-up conversations, and manage pre-launch interest.

Supplying the product

To handle quotes, procurement, invoicing, support, and school-customer communications.

Managing complaints or concerns

To log, triage, investigate, and respond to privacy, support, safety, or service complaints.

Meeting legal and business duties

To keep records, manage tax and accounting requirements, and protect the supplier and customers.

Legal basis

The main UK GDPR bases likely to apply

For website and product enquiries, the main basis will usually be legitimate interests or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

For existing customers, processing may also be necessary for performing a contract, keeping records, and meeting legal obligations such as accounting or tax requirements.

Desktop product

How the Anonemo app is designed to handle image data

Local processing

The normal Anonemo workflow is designed to process source images on the local device. The core image-processing workflow is local-only and 100% offline by design during normal use.

Model install

The current release uses the pinned local generator model runwayml/stable-diffusion-inpainting at revision 8a4288a76071f7280aedbdb3253bdb9e9d5d84bb, under the creativeml-openrail-m licence. The first install currently requires a one-off local model download. Schools that need technical review or whitelisting detail should use the DPO / DPIA summary page alongside procurement notes.

Working files and cleanup

The app may create temporary local session workspaces, previews, masks, crops, and workflow metadata while processing. Cleanup can be run after export or discard so those app-managed temporary files do not remain unnecessarily.

Exports

Approved exports are written only to the destination chosen by the user. The current release supports metadata-stripped PNG exports and a lower-resolution Public web copy PNG preset capped at 1600 pixels wide.

What the product does not claim

Anonemo is intended to reduce identification risk, not to guarantee anonymity or replace school judgement, consent, safeguarding review, or publication policy.

Third parties

Services that may process data on the website or business side

AiyoTea does not sell personal data and does not share it for advertising. Where personal data does need to be handled, it is shared only with the service providers needed to run the website, support, billing, or delivery routes.

  • Cloudflare DNS as the authoritative DNS provider for aiyotea.com
  • Cloudflare Pages for product-related websites on *.aiyotea.com
  • Cloudflare Email Routing for forwarding support@aiyotea.com, info@aiyotea.com, and billing@aiyotea.com
  • Zoho Desk for the embedded enquiry/support form flow and routed support handling
  • Accounting, invoicing, or payment providers used for legitimate school procurement and finance handling

The exact support and operations stack may change as the launch setup matures, but this page should be kept updated when that happens.

For DPOs

Need a statement-based summary for DPIA review?

The public privacy policy is meant to be understandable for non-specialists. A separate DPO / DPIA summary page is available for supplier-style statements schools can use more directly in governance and assessment work.

Important reminder

Please do not send real pupil images through website contact forms

Use the contact routes carefully

Website contact and pricing forms are for enquiries and follow-up only. Please do not send real pupil images, safeguarding records, or unnecessary personal data through those forms or by ordinary email unless specifically asked to do so after proper triage.

Retention and rights

How long data is kept and what you can ask for

Enquiry, support, and commercial records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, customer management, complaints handling, legal or accounting duties, or legitimate business record-keeping.

You can contact AiyoTea to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection rights where they apply. You can also ask not to receive further follow-up contact.
